everything you need to know, to start automating your clip channels.

klypra is a tool that monitors a live Twitch channel's chat, detects the moments the audience reacts to, and turns them into edited vertical clips. It runs server-side, so it keeps working once you close the browser. Finished clips are reframed to 9:16, captioned, and either delivered to your phone over Telegram or downloaded from the dashboard. It works on any public Twitch channel, whether or not you are the streamer.
Yes, and no credit card is involved at any point. The free plan covers one channel at a time, 5 clips per day and 50 per month, kept for 14 days, exported at 1080p with a klypra watermark. All five subtitle styles are included. Paid plans are planned but not purchasable yet, so everything currently available is free.
It reads the channel's Twitch chat in real time and compares the current message rate against that channel's own recent baseline. A sharp acceleration is treated as the audience reacting to something, and the surrounding moment is cut. Because the signal is the audience rather than the game, it works in categories like Just Chatting and IRL where there is no game event to detect. The trade-off is that a channel with very little chat traffic gives the detector almost nothing to measure. We compare this against tools that process the recording afterwards in real-time vs VOD-based clip generators.
Yes. klypra reads a channel's public chat and public stream, so the streamer does not need to connect anything or grant access inside the tool. This is the normal case for clippers, who mostly post clips of streamers they watch. Whether you may repost a particular streamer's content is a separate question, governed by that streamer's own stated policy and by Twitch's terms.
Not as sources. klypra reads Twitch chat only, so Kick, YouTube and other platforms cannot be monitored. As destinations they are supported: clips are exported at 1080x1920, which is the correct format for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts alike. klypra does not upload them for you, so posting is a manual step, and the specs and safe zones for all three are in our Twitch clip to TikTok and Shorts guide.
Within minutes of the moment happening, while the stream is still running. klypra processes the live stream rather than the recording, so there is no VOD to wait for, download or upload. This is the main practical difference from VOD-based tools, which cannot start until the broadcast has ended.
Every clip is reframed from the stream's 16:9 to 9:16 vertical, or left at 16:9 if you prefer. Subtitles are burned into the video in one of five styles, and silence can be trimmed automatically to tighten the pacing. The result is a finished MP4 that is ready to post without opening an editor.
It does not post clips to TikTok, Instagram or YouTube for you, and it has no scheduling. It cannot monitor platforms other than Twitch. Free clips carry a watermark and are deleted after 14 days. Auto-start, which begins monitoring by itself whenever a channel goes live, belongs to the paid plan and is therefore not available yet. The complete list of limits is on the about page.
klypra is built and run by a single developer, Henri, based in Germany. The fastest way to get help is the Discord, where questions usually get answered the same day. You can also reach out on X, and the full legal contact details are on the imprint.
